Mark your calendars for the 2015 Warm Weather Art Walks on Ellsworth, our FirstFriday ArtWalks from May through September. The Summer gallery crawls series kicks off on May 1, with additional dates on June 5, July 10, August 7, and September 4. Each event is held from 5:30-8:30 p.m., and will feature live music, shopping at local businesses and food trucks along the route. Make sure to visit the galleries on Ellsworth: Gallerie Chiz, Morgan Glass Gallery, Mendelson Gallery and Wax Jewelry Design Studio to view their permanent collections and special openings throughout the Summer.
Start at the intersection of Ellsworth and Maryland Avenues, and work your way up to the Pedestrian Bridge. Located just beyond the bridge is the Steel City Improv Theater, which will put on a performance at 8 p.m. for each of the Warm Weather Walks.
Local Food Trucks will be set up in the small parking lot located on Ellsworth right before the Pedestrian Bridge. Rotating throughout the Summer we’ll have the Pittsburgh Taco Truck, Pittsburgh Crepes Truck, and more. Follow everyone on Twitter to stay updated.
After that, we recommend looping back and checking out the many bars and restaurants along Ellsworth Avenue. Just a short walk away are even more options for Friday night fun on South Highland Avenue and Walnut Street.
*For our dog loving friends, Petagogy will host Yappy Hour events during three of the Warm Weather Walks! Enjoy local beer for you and dog treats for your furry friend on May 1, July 10 and September 4th!
